VEGAN JALAPEÑO CREAM SAUCE

The correct addition to tacos, nachos or enchiladas – this Vegan Jalapeño Cream Sauce is packed filled with taste and heat.



Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 red onion roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic roughly chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 jalapeño roughly chopped
  • 8 oz vegan cream cheese
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water

Instructions

  • Place a pan at the range over medium heat. Add olive oil, onion, garlic, cumin, salt and pepper. Sauté till onions starts to melt (approx. 5-7 minutes), stirring regularly. 
  • Add jalapeño and cream cheese to the pan and sauté for an further 1-2 minutes, or till cream cheese is softened and everything is combined. 
  • Place the contents of the pan in a blender with cilantro and 1/4 cup of water. Pulse till combined. Add further water if wanted and style to alter seasoning. 
  • Place in an hermetic container and hold within the fridge till able to use. Will final 5-7 days.
